Quiet Hour at the Museums

Age: General public, all ages
Price: General admission

The San Bernardino County and Victor Valley Museums are now offering Quiet Hour. This time is dedicated to creating a calmer, quieter museum experience. We remain open to the public during this time, and all are welcome to visit the museum. During this time, specific exhibit features in the main museum building will be turned off to minimize audio and visual stimulation.

We recommend an hour for your visit, so you can fully enjoy the exhibits, gardens, and museum store. All exhibits will be fully turned on at the end of the program. Admission purchased during sensory-friendly quiet hours is the same as standard admission and applies to the entire day. Sensory bags contain items that can help control sensory overload during a guest’s visit and are available for check-out at each location. A drop-in meditation space is available in the Schuiling Gallery from 9 to 10 a.m. (Redlands location only).

Sensory bags include:

  • Noise Reduction Headphones
  • Squishy Stress Ball
  • Liquid Motion Bubbler
  • Furry piece of Fabric
  • Fidget Slug
  • Sunglasses

Please ask for one at the Admissions Desk if you would like to borrow a bag and return it at the end of your visit.
