This year, artists were asked to explore the idea of a journey. A journey can take many forms, unfolding across landscapes, relationships, identities and time itself. They suggest a story or transition, one where the end leaves us in a different place from where we started.

Following an open call for artworks to the arts community of Southern California, this exhibition will include works by 47 different artists. Works include paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, ceramics and sculpture.

“Journeys are more than just a passage from one place to another; they can be a process of becoming,” said Curator of Art & Exhibits Dr. Casey Lee. “These artists reveal how movement can reshape our sense of destination while reminding us that every journey carries with it traces of paths already travelled.”

The artworks presented here show journeys that are personal and profound. Many trace stories of migration and memory, inspired by personal desires or familial obligations, and the resulting transformations. Others examine how forces beyond our control determine where we go, what we carry with us and where we ultimately belong.

General admission is $10 (adult), $8 (military or senior), $7 (student), and $5 (child ages 6–12). Children five and under and Museum Foundation members are admitted free. Parking is free. The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities.
