Shifting Gears: A Miniature View of America’s Changing Car Culture is a small model car exhibit that features a collection of more than 150 model cars donated by Charles and Shelby Obershaw and provides a unique lens through which to explore America’s changing car culture. The cars may be small, but the ideas that the installation explores are big.
The exhibit highlights how cars have changed through time, working cars versus luxury cars, and the role they have played in San Bernardino County especially in the racetrack industry.
