STEAM Saturday: Color Resist Art

A painting of oranges, limes, and lemons using a technique called color resisting.
Are you ready to learn all about color resist art? It is a novel technique used in painting where certain areas of the canvas are blocked from absorbing paint, allowing the untouched areas to retain their original appearance while the painted sections contrast sharply. This method creates a striking visual effect, often used to highlight design elements or patterns. Don’t forget that frozen treats will be available for purchase too! Regular museum admission applies.
