Every story has a beginning—and sometimes it starts with a stone.
As part of our seasonal campaign, The Story of Us, Victor Valley Museum invites families to explore how even the smallest objects can hold meaning, memory, and imagination. Rocks connect us to the land beneath our feet, to time, and to one another—and through creativity, they become storytellers.
During this hands-on Second Saturday program, children are invited to paint and decorate their own rocks, transforming natural materials into personal works of art. This relaxed, drop-in activity encourages creativity, self-expression, and a sense of belonging—reminding young artists that their stories live here, too.
