Call for artist submissions are now being accepted through July 1, 2026
The San Bernardino County Museum, in partnership with the Inland Empire Latino Art Association, is pleased to welcome submissions from artists of the Inland Empire for our annual art exhibition celebrating the creativity and culture of our Latino community. This year we invite artists to explore the theme of “journeys.”
A journey can take many forms, unfolding across landscapes, relationships, identities, and time itself. Journeys can be real or imagined, physical, emotional, or spiritual. They can trace migrations, memory, discovery, and growth. We welcome interpretations that are literal or abstract, intimate or expansive.
Possible Themes Include:
- Migration and movement
- Personal transformation
- Rituals and transitions
- Travel and place
- Generational histories
- Environmental and ecological change
- Inner worlds and imagined futures
- Maps, borders, crossings, and thresholds
Artists can enter up to two (2) pieces in one or multiple medium categories. Artists will need to submit one submission form. Categories include painting, printmaking/graphic design, drawing, mixed media, textile, photography, sculpture, video, and performance. Please note that your artwork is NOT insured by San Bernardino County Museum or Inland Empire Latino Art Association.
There is no fee to enter your work for consideration. Due to the overwhelming response to last year’s call for artists, this year’s submission will be reviewed by an art panel of experts who will select which artworks will be included in the exhibition. Their selection will be based on criteria such as originality, technique, and interpretation of the theme.
