Scribbles Art Collective: Drawing Connections is a dazzling exhibition of watercolors, paintings, and mixed media artworks produced by Scribbles Art Collective. A group of four artists united by their love of art and commitment to creating connections in the High Desert, Scribbles Art Collective invites visitors to explore the splendor of the natural world and be inspired to let their imaginations soar.
About the Artists
Brianna Ambriz is an illustrator and natural history artist. Her work centers around the flora and fauna of California, but she also works in the realm of fantasy. She illustrates independent tabletop games or her own narrative explorations.
Kamren Rodain has a background in animation and 3D-modeling. He likes to explore different mediums but works primarily with a tablet and stylus.
Jacob Sweet is a visual development artist and illustrator working primarily with acrylics and oils. He is a plein air enthusiast, who often paints from life in the High Desert. He is also just as comfortable in the studio, drawing from his imagination.
Carissa Williams, a designer and vector artist, can be found at conventions and pop-up markets all over the Southwest. She designs lapel pins and surface patterns, most notably ones that celebrate extinct animals.
About The Exhibition
Scribbles Art Collective: Drawing Connections presents the artworks of the four members of the Scribbles Art Collective: Brianna Ambriz, an illustrator and natural history artist, Carissa Williams, a designer and vector artist, Jacob Sweet, a visual development artist and illustrator, and Kamren Rodain, a digital illustrator. United by a shared appreciation of art in all its forms, from oil painting to digital creations, and genres that span from the natural world to imagined ones, their eclectic interests encourage an expansive and welcoming approach to art and community.
Scribbles Art Collective started with a car accident, an incident that left everyone unharmed, but served as a catalyst for taking a leap and realizing a dream of making a space for artists in Apple Valley. Now based in the historic Apple Valley Inn, they are providing space for the community to pursue creative endeavors and build connections with one another.
Their works cover a variety of subjects, both real and imagined. Through observing the world around them Scribbles is able to craft compositions grounded in nature and translate creative thought into visual images.
From scientific visualizations to celebrating pop culture, Scribbles Art Collective brings a unique vision that spans multiple subjects and mediums.

Scribbles Art Collective: Drawing Connections, featuring work by Brianna Ambriz, Kamren, Jacob Sweet and Carissa Williams, will be on view from August 15 to November 22 at the Victor Valley Museum. Admission is included with general admission, and museum members receive free entry.
