Join Gloria from Sprout and Blossom in the STEAM Outdoor Classroom for a hands-on exploration of Ladybug Life. Designed for children and their families, this engaging outdoor session introduces young learners to the fascinating life cycle of ladybugs and the important role these tiny insects play in healthy gardens.
Through observation, guided activities, and interactive discussion, participants will learn how ladybugs grow from egg to adult and how they help protect plants by feeding on garden pests. This program encourages curiosity, environmental awareness, and an appreciation for the small but mighty creatures that support our ecosystems.
STEAM Outdoors invites children and families to step outside and explore the living world through hands-on learning and creative discovery. SBCM is excited to partner with Sprout and Blossom for this monthly program that connects science, nature, and art through lessons on gardening, food systems, insects, and the beauty of the natural world. Each session encourages curiosity, care for the Earth, and an understanding of how people and nature are deeply connected—an essential chapter in the story of us.
STEAM Outdoors takes place once each month and is offered in two sessions:
Participation is free with general museum admission. Space is limited to 20 children per session and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
