Cosmic Nights announcement for Aug. 30 from 7-10 p.m. at San Bernardino County Museum.

Stargazing and summertime pet safety collide at the next Cosmic Nights event at San Bernardino County Museum (SBCM). In partnership with San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers (SBVAA) and San Bernardino County Animal Care, join us on Saturday, Aug. 30 from 7-10 p.m. for an evening of celestial exploration, hands-on fun, and educational tips from animal experts.

“While our Cosmic Nights events always aim to connect our guests to the cosmos, this time we’re also bringing the message down to Earth with practical advice that can save lives,” said Curator of Education Eliana Zacarias. “We’re proud to collaborate with the San Bernardino County Animal Care team to help families care for both their curiosity and their companions.”

Event highlights include:

  • Live stargazing through high-powered telescopes from SBCVAA
  • Pet safety demos
  • Make-your-own pet bandana station
  • Educational resources from Animal Care
  • Local food vendors
  • Museum galleries open for after-hours exploration

Admission to Cosmic Nights is included with paid museum entry. All ages are welcome, and families are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for stargazing on the museum grounds.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore the universe while learning how to protect the animals we love here at home.
