About the Exhibition
The High Desert is a region in Southern California that is rich in history and culture. The different communities that make up this area have collectively added to its diverse past, and they continue to create new and exciting stories, even into current times. The History and Community exhibit at the Victor Valley Museum tells the story of the High Desert’s past and how its residents have shaped the area to what it is today. This exhibit includes topics such as farming, agriculture, photography, mining, and it also focuses on the region’s unique and extensive film industry history. Discover some new things about the different towns and cities that make up the High Desert and learn more about the different local community members that left a lasting impact on this region.
