In October, STEAM Saturdays bring creative fun to the STEAM Lab with Monster Mash, a month of simple, hands-on monster-themed crafts designed especially for young learners and their families. Children can create clothespin monsters, coffee filter monsters, and paper bag monsters, experiment with a white crayon resist spider web watercolor, and celebrate Halloween with Frankenstein fork painting.
These age-appropriate activation activities encourage curiosity about paleontology, fossils, and prehistoric life while supporting early learning through play and creativity. STEAM Saturdays provide meaningful opportunities for families to explore together, ask questions, and spark a lasting interest in science and discovery.
STEAM Lab activities take place during regular STEAM Lab hours and are included with general admission. Timed entry is in effect for the STEAM Lab, and wristbands are available at Guest Services.
