A complimentary opening night reception is scheduled for Friday\, Sept. 13th from 6 to 8 p.m. Museum admission is free thanks to the support of Presenting Sponsor\, US Auctions\, Silver Sponsor High Desert Hispanic Chamber of Commerce\, and Bronze Sponsor\, Abby and Dan Flores\, SBCM Foundation Board of Directors. Light refreshments and entertainment will be available.

DESCRIPTION:The San Bernardino County Museum is offering Quiet Hour at the museum from 9 to 10 a.m. on select Wednesdays. This time is dedicated to creating a calmer\, quieter museum experience. We remain open to the public during this time\, and all are welcome to visit the museum. During this time\, specific exhibit features in the main museum building will be turned off to minimize audio and visual stimulation. We recommend an hour for your visit\, so you can fully enjoy the exhibits\, gardens\, and museum store. A drop-in meditation space will be provided in the Schuiling Gallery from 9 to 10 a.m. All exhibits will be fully turned on at 10 a.m. Admission purchased during sensory-friendly quiet hours is the same as standard admission and applies to the entire day. The store will open at 9 a.m. on Quiet Hour mornings.

DESCRIPTION:End the summer with a bang! The San Bernardino County Museum in partnership with Arts Connection – The Arts Council of San Bernardino County invites you to its Summer Arts Festival. This family-friendly celebration will take place on Thursday August 29 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It is a celebration of all forms of artistry in our region where we will have live art demos\, creative workshops\, artisan shopping\, food vendors\, and face painting. General admission is $10 (adult)\, $8 (military or senior)\, $7 (student)\, and $5 (child ages 6 to 12). Children five and under and members are admitted free. Parking is free\, and the museum is accessible to persons with disabilities.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Cosmic Nights with our partner\, the San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers (SBVAA). The event takes place outdoors\, weather permitting\, and guests are advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Museum galleries will be open during the event. General admission is $10 (adult)\, $8 (military or senior)\, $7 (student)\, and $5 (child ages 6 to 12). Children five and under are free. Museum Foundation members receive a 50% discount on admission. Parking is free. The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities. Local food vendors will be onsite including Kona Ice of Redlands\, Funnel Kake Frenzy\, Sweet Treat Kingdom and So-Cal Pop. The partnership helps SBVAA\, founded in 1958\, achieve their goal of introducing the community to astronomy\, to organize amateur astronomers in the San Bernardino Valley area\, and to increase knowledge and excitement in astronomy.
