SUMMARY:STEAM Summer | Scientific Explorations in June
DESCRIPTION:STEAM Summer | June 2026\nScientific Explorations\nLong days begin with curiosity. \nIn June\, STEAM Summer at the San Bernardino County Museum invites families to explore through play\, experimentation\, and a little bit of mess. This is a month for testing ideas\, trying new things\, and discovering how the world works—one hands-on activity at a time. \nEach Saturday from 10–3 p.m.\, children can dive into playful experiences that bubble\, launch\, and spin: \n\nJune 6: Bubbles (come prepared—this one gets messy! Please bring a change of clothes for your children.)\nJune 13: String Telephones\nJune 20: Rockets\nJune 27: Thaumatropes\n\nActivities take place across the STEAM Lab\, outdoor classroom\, and museum galleries\, creating space to move\, explore\, and engage from one moment to the next. \nSTEAM Lab Entry: \nTimed wristbands are required for STEAM Lab access and are available daily throughout the summer (June–August). Each wristband allows for a 30-minute session\, helping ensure a comfortable and engaging experience for all visitors. \nThis month is about freedom—of movement\, of thought\, and of play. It’s a chance for children to follow their curiosity and for families to rediscover the joy of simple exploration. \nAdmission:• $10 adults• $8 military or seniors• $7 students• $5 children ages 6–12• Free for children five and under• Museum Foundation members receive 50% off admission \nParking is free\, and the museum is accessible to persons with disabilities.

SUMMARY:Cosmic Nights
DESCRIPTION:Cosmic Nights | July 2026\nOur story is written in the stars.\nJoin us for Cosmic Nights\, an evening of quiet discovery where the night sky becomes a gateway to wonder. Founded in 1958\, SBVAA is dedicated to introducing the community to astronomy\, supporting amateur astronomers in the San Bernardino Valley area\, and fostering excitement and lifelong learning about the cosmos. \nCosmic Nights takes place outdoors\, weather permitting. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Museum galleries will remain open throughout the evening\, offering opportunities for both stargazing and indoor exploration. \nAdmission:• $10 adults• $8 military or seniors• $7 students• $5 children ages 6–12• Free for children five and under• Museum Foundation members receive 50% off admission \nParking is free\, and the museum is accessible to persons with disabilities. \nStep outside\, look up\, and reconnect with the vast story written above us—one star at a time.
