SUMMARY:Celebrate Earth Day
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a full day of family-friendly activities celebrating Earth Day! Make wildflower “seed bombs\,” help us break ground on the revitalization of our native plant and ethnobotany gardens\, and stay for a two-hour long paper making workshop (ages 15+ only) with plant material. Two paper making workshops are being offered. All activities are the cost of a regular museum admission.\n\n9am-12pm – “Water you Waiting For? Landscaping with Water-Wise Native Plants” is In partnership with the San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District and Inland Empire Resource Conservation District. Help us break ground on the revitalization of our native plant and ethnobotany gardens. Plant seedlings\, remove turf\, and learn about pollinators and indigenous foodways. Wear comfortable clothes\, bring gloves\, and your favorite gardening tool!\n\n10am-12pm and 2-4pm – Paper Making Workshops (Ages 15+ only)\nParticipants will learn how to transform plant materials like palm fronds into one of a kind pieces of paper. All materials are included in the cost of the workshop. Space is limited\, early reservations recommended. SUMMARY:Cosmic Nights
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Cosmic Nights with the San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers (SBVAA) featuring telescope viewing. The event takes place outdoors\, weather permitting\, and guests are advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes.\n\nMuseum galleries will be open during the event. General admission is $10 (adult)\, $8 (military or senior)\, $7 (student)\, and $5 (child ages 6 to 12). Children five and under and Museum Association members are admitted free. Parking is free. The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities.\n\nThe partnership helps SBVAA\, founded in 1958\, achieve their goal of introducing the community to astronomy\, to organize amateur astronomers in the San Bernardino Valley area\, and to increase knowledge and excitement in astronomy.
