While you’re here\, visit the stunning and immersive Mosaics of the Mojave: Life\, Culture\, and Ecology in the Mojave Desert exhibit\, participate in hands-on crafts\, and enjoy a cart talk.\nFamilies can enjoy on-site themed art projects every month at the Victor Valley Museum from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join us on the second Saturday of each month for an exciting hands-on art workshop for the entire family. Themes change each month so be sure to visit the website for current details.\nRegular museum admission applies. Museum galleries will be open during the event. During this time\, specific exhibit features in the main museum building will be turned off to minimize audio and visual stimulation. We recommend an hour for your visit\, so you can fully enjoy the exhibits\, gardens\, and museum store. A drop-in meditation space will be provided in the Schuiling Gallery from 9 to 10 a.m. All exhibits will be fully turned on at 10 a.m. Admission purchased during sensory-friendly quiet hours is the same as standard admission and applies to the entire day. The store will open at 9 a.m. on Quiet Hour mornings.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Feb. 8th for Second Saturdays to make “Acts of Kindness” Valentines. The key is to spread love and kindness beyond without focusing on giving or receiving material representations of that love. Families can enjoy on-site themed art projects every month through Second Saturdays at the Victor Valley Museum (VVM) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join us on the second Saturday of each month for an exciting hands-on art workshop for the entire family. Themes change each month so be sure to visit the website for current details. Regular museum admission applies. General admission is $10 (adult)\, $8 (military or senior)\, $7 (student)\, and $5 (child ages 6 to 12). Museum Foundation members and children five and under are free. Museum galleries will be open during the event. The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities and parking is free.

Faye Griffin inspired by Deborah McDuff William’s exhibit\, ‘Stolen Identities: River Routes to Freedom.’ Two workshops available: 11am-12:15pm & 12:30-2pm. Learn about the images in Sankofa\, an expression of Twi language from Ghana. Understand about the artistry of using Ghana Adinkra symbols to create your own message of inspiration and hope. Both sessions will cover fabric and paper stamping. Materials and aprons will be provided.
