Calling All Artists! Show Us Your Art!

We are looking for talented artists to participate in the High Desert Open Arts Exhibition hosted by Victor Valley Museum in collaboration with our partner, Arts Connection.

Call for Artist submissions are now being accepted through June 4, 2023.

Victor Valley Museum and Arts Connection welcomes submissions from high desert artists and students for the upcoming High Desert Open Arts Exhibition taking place July 8 through October 8, 2023. Students and artists can enter in multiple categories but are limited to one piece per category. Artists and students will need to submit one submission form per category. Categories include painting, printmaking/graphic design, drawing, mixed media, textile, photography, and sculpture. Please note that your artwork is NOT insured by Victor Valley Museum or Arts Connection.

Exhibition Dates: July 8 through October 8, 2023, 10 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Reception: Victor Valley Museum on July 8, 2023, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Pick Up Dates: October 12 through October 15, 2023, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Artist Guidelines

• Artwork will be accepted at the sole discretion of the exhibit committee. Only accepted artworks will be displayed.
• If artwork is not accepted, you will receive an email notification before the opening date of the exhibition.
• Artists will deliver and remove artwork from the gallery during gallery hours by the listed days designated.
• All works must be display-ready, well-crafted, framed, wired, and ready-to-hang or be displayed. 
• All works must be original works by the submitting artist. No artificial intelligence renderings or creations. All works submitted should be of a recent date.
• Artwork must be collected and removed no later than one week after the exhibition has ended, or as designated.
• By submitting artwork to this exhibition online, you permit Victor Valley Museum to use the images of your artwork for marketing, publication, and advertising purposes.

Submission requirements: Artists will need to submit one submission form per category. Artwork submissions should include 1 image of completed artwork ready for display. The submission deadline is Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. *Students must attach identification information, school, and teacher contact to the back of each artwork.

 Make sure to include your name in your images and video submissions. i.e., JaneDoe_image1.
